Account Manager

OVERVIEW

The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned campaigns. Account Managers are responsible for developing the campaign brand and overall strategy, and maintaining a positive relationship between BrandYourself and clients. Account Managers also organize the work for the campaign, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards and are in line with client goals.

This is a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media Execution:

  • Executes SEO, digital marketing, and social media campaigns in accordance with client objectives and general best practices
  • Changes voice and tone, finds the right content to share, and crafts social media posts in a way that accurately and authentically represents each client’s brand
  • Uses scheduling tools and platforms (Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.) to coordinate clients’ social media calendars
  • Launches, manages, and tracks/reports on paid campaigns 

Strategy Development and Proactivity

  • Develops overarching campaign strategies, starting with unique client goals and identifying the initiatives and tactics that will most effectively get us there
  • Crafts compelling and customized client-facing reports, plans and other documents that reflect our ongoing work and progress
  • Creates and executes effective monthly action items for each assigned campaign
  • Consistently measures campaign success against evolving client goals. Capable of revising strategy accordingly and working with the team to implement new tactics.
  • Serves as account manager and internal lead/liaison for other team members (i.e., assigns, coordinates, and oversees the development and completion of work with Writers, Web Designers, Social Media Specialists) 
  • Effectively manages up to Senior Brand Strategists, (i.e., keeps Seniors in the loop on campaign progress and key milestones, comes to report preparation sessions with ideas for what needs to happen, and loops in Seniors when their oversight would be helpful (e.g., on renewal and upsell opportunities))
  • Looks for opportunities to pitch our services as solutions to additional client needs and problems, both throughout a campaign and during the renewal process. 

Client Service

  • Builds trust: Leads phone calls and meetings, and composes emails, in a way that instills confidence, demonstrates an understanding of the campaign/work/company, and gives clients a sense of reliability. 
  • Demonstrates knowledgeability: Helps clients understand what we do, and offers suggestions to continue improving each campaign so the client comes to rely on you as an expert.
  • Builds a personal rapport with clients that makes them happy to work with BrandYourself in the long term, especially beyond the initial agreement.
  • Proactively responds to emails in a timely manner, reaches out to clients to share campaign wins, and regularly checks in on items that may need approval.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Account management experience preferred
  • Organization is a MUST
  • Superior communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of promotional platforms such as Google Ads, Outbrain, Taboola is preferred
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Keyword Planner, Facebook/Twitter Analytics is preferred
  • Project management skills to keep campaigns on track and within budget
  • Ability to discover and communicate a brand’s story
  • Understands how to improve content to best suit a client’s audience
  • Strong understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) is preferred
  • Attention to detail
